“Efficacy of current familial breast cancer screening practices and its impact on national cancer programme”

Introduction: Breast cancer has been the leading cause of in females over last few decades. Familial inheritance breast is proven and investigated deeply. The need day to risk stratify it before actual problem arises standardise process across UK which not yet addressed.
 Objective: objective this study assess efficacy current referrals familial clinics from all sources their impact on national programme.
 Materials Methods: This a retrospective patients referred family history clinic at King’s Mill Hospital Surgery Department between Jan-Dec 2017. A case note review these cases was undertaken data collected proforma shown below. For analysis entered FaHRAS according calculated appropriateness secondary care measured.
 Results: Results our showed that 73% made 2017 primary were appropriate, while 27% stratified as in-appropriate referrals. Those missed might be more than expected but there no way ones.
 Conclusion: In conclusion, identifies tip iceberg regarding issue far bigger. If screening done care, inappropriate could effectively reduced significantly.
